John Brage was born and raised in St. Joseph, Missouri. He graduated with top honors from Missouri Western State University in 1990 and completed law school at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1993. During law school, John served as the research clerk for Professor David Fischer during the revision of Professor Fischer's text book on the topic of products liabilty law. John was selected to serve on the Board of Advocates and was named to the Order of the Barristers for excellence in student advocacy competition.
During his career as an attorney, John has represented clients in over 15 counties throughout the State of Missouri. He focuses his practice on the representation of people - not businesses or government agencies.
In his worker's compensation practice, John has successfully filed claims against some of the largest employers in the state, including Ford Motor Co., General Motors Co., McDonnell-Douglas Co., Chrysler Co., Gilster Marylee, St. Joe Packaging, Holiday Inns, and many others.
His criminal practice has included cases involving drug offenses, sexual assault, DWI, and burglary. John also handles a variety of traffic matters in order to protect his clients' driving records and keep their insurance premiums as low as possible.
In the area of family law, John has a great deal of experience in divorce cases, child custody matters, adoption and actions for the termination of parental rights.
John also represents clients on personal injury claims including auto accidents and injuries caused by unsafe conditions such as slippery floors and dangerous sidewalks.
He lives in Kansas City with his wife, Natalie and their children, Erin and Caden.
