Spray-On Polyurethane Foam

Frantl lndustries, Inc.'s spray-on-polyurethane foam system (SPF) forms a seamless, insulated system. With no seams, fasteners, or joints, the system doesn't allow moisture to seep in. Frantl's spray-applied foam system has the highest R-Value commercially available at 7.14 per inch, which reduces condensation and also eliminates any air filtration. Frantl's SPF system, in time, actually pays for itself through lower maintenance, utility and fuel costs. Having a tenacious bond, SPF adheres to a wide range of applications.

PolyFoam™

How does PolyFoam™ work?
Gaco Western PolyFoam™ is closed cell, monolithic polyurethane foam. As PolyFoam™ is sprayed in place, the foam bonds to the substrate and becomes part ofthe structure. Forming a thick, seamless barrier, PolyFoam™ seals penetrations, voids and junctions. Manufactured in a variety of densities, PolyFoam™ is easily applied to roofs of any shape, size or slope. Protected by a Gaco Western elastomeric coating, the PolyFoam™ system creates a sustainable roof that can be rejuvenated by periodic application of a new topcoat.
The PolyFoam™ Advantage
PolyFoam™ roofing systems offer solutions to many common problems caused by other roofing systems. Seams, penetrations and parapet walls are the major source of leaks in most roof systems. PolyFoam™ seamless, self-flashing roof systems stop flashing leaks in problem areas. This sprayed-inplace, durable foam conforms and adheres to any shape.
Prevent Leaks Common to Conventional Roof Systems
With a conventional roof system, rainwater often migrates under the roofing material. This lateral migration makes it very difficult to find and repair a leak. The PolyFoam™ roof system adheres completely to the substrate, preventing water migration. In the unlikely event that a foam roofis penetrated through its entire thickness, water migration is limited to a small area, generally no larger than the penetration itself. In most cases, temporary repairs to a small hole can be made with caulk.

PolyFoam™ Insulated roofing can eliminate costly tear-offs.

PolyFoam™ seamless, soft-flashing roof systems stop flashing leaks in problem areas.

Comfort Foam

COMFORT FOAM seals cracks, crevices and seams around the perimeter of your home, giving you valuable protection from unmanaged air infiltration, drafts and damaging moisture accumulation in your walls.

Proven more effective than conventional insulation products, COMFORT FOAM spray polyurethane insulation forms a seamless bond with building components to create a structurally sound, uniform, air-infiltration barrier. COMFORT FOAM's unique physical properties perform in even the most extreme hot or cold climates.

LONG-TERM ENERGY SAVINGS
Your investment in COMFORT FOAM will reap longterm returns in saved energy dollars, comfort, control of indoor air quality, health and safety for the life of your home. Because COMFORT FOAM is a closed cell insulation material delivering the highest R-Value per inch, your heating and cooling equipment works more efficiently, uses less fuel and maintains consistant and uniform temperatures.

DOWNSIZE HVAC NEEDS.
COMFORT FOAM can help save money on equipment costs, too. With COMFORT FOAM insulation, you may be able to downsize your investment in the mechanical heating and cooling equipment you need. For .example, in the COMFORT FOAM house, a 60,000 BTU furnace could provide the same indoor comfort level as a more costly 80,000 BTU unit. COMFORT FOAM is a smart investment, right from the start!

COMFORT FOAM completely and efficiently insulates and seals around penetrations through the building framework, such as electrical outlets and plumbing fixtures.

Top and Bottom still plates, energy heels and rim joists are sealed, along with other gaps normally found in residential construction.

The Highest R-value in the Market.
Insulation is rated in terms of thermal resistance-R-value-which indicates the resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating effectiveness. COMFORT FOAM has the highest R-value (7 per in.) of all readily available, cost-effective insulations available in the market today.
Reduces or Eliminates Convection Looping.
Up to 40% of a home's energy loss can occur through the building envelope, not just through windows and doors. Slight imperfections in framing, changes in temperature and pressure within the home can create air movement within the stud cavity that will reduce the energy efficiency of fiberous or large open celled insulation systems. Along with air, moisture can enter the building cavity, condense and create structural as well as health concerns. COMFORT FOAM will not permit the uncontrolled movement of air and moisture through your walls.
Meets Building Code Requirements.
Don't worry about durability. COMFORT FOAM is approved by all three national building codes and will perform for the life of your building. Its exceptional thermal and structural characteristics will save you, and generations to come, from the problems associated with the high cost of energy.
Creates a Healthy Living Space.
COMFORT FOAM spray polyurethane effectively protects your living space from unwanted moisture build-up and condensation caused by warm moist air meeting cool dry air within the building envelope (stud cavities, attics). Installed by a Qualified COMFORT FOAM Contractor, COMFORT FOAM effectively seals your home against unwanted moisture. You can now use modern ventilation techniques to create the best, most habitable indoor living space-free of excess moisture and airborne pathogens-for a healthy, more comfortable home.

Controlling Air Infiltration...
The answer to America's home energy-saving challenge.
United States government energy labs estimate that air infiltration wastes up to 40% of every home heating and cooling dollar. It is one of the country's most critical home energy problems. Unfortunately, most residential buildings were constructed before the scope of the problem was widely known. But today, new homes are being built utilizing the COMFORT FOAM solution, right from the start.

The latest money-saving technology for new home construction.
Used commercially for over 30 years, COMFORT FOAM is a sprayed-in-place polyurethane insulation, applied by a Qualified COMFORT FOAM Contractor during construction of your home. The closed-cell nature of COMFORT FOAM stops air leakage problems at the source.

A home that has good insulation plus air infiltration control...
. reduces the usage of fossil fuels for energy
. reduces the CO2 emissions that are damaging the environment, AND
. saves the homeowner money.

Walltite Insulating Air Barrier System

The BASF WALLTITE'" Insulating Air Barrier System meets Energy and Building Code requirements. When designed and installed as part of the BASF engineered building envelope system, it delivers additional benefits. It contributes to improved building durability, energy efficiency and improved occupant comfort, health and safety.

WALLTITE sprayed polyurethane foam (SPF) delivers a unique combination of properties to a highly functional building envelope. Its closed-cell rigid formulation creates an effective air barrier as well as providing the highest level of thermal insulation. In most cases, additional vapor barrier protection is not necessary.

Meet or exceed Codes

Massachusetts was the first jurisdiction to mandate air barrier systems in non-residential construction. The State's new Commercial Energy Code conforms to the US Department of Energy's program of goals to reduce building energy consumption by 25% by the year 2010 and 50% by 2020. Air barrier systems will play an important role in meeting the Department of Energy goals.

Proven performance in the field

Architects and builders have successfully used WALLTITE for more than ten years on all types of industrial, commercial and institutional buildings, both low- and high-rise.

ABAA Approved Applicators

WALLTITE is installed only by Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) approved applicators with third-party quality control inspection.
