Toddler

Ms. Gloria & Ms. Michi

We continue working on name recognition, the alphabet in English and Spanish, colors, shapes. We’ve been singing the alphabet song daily, Itsy Bitsy Spider, London Bridge is Falling Down, and Ring Around the Rosey. The toddlers have been enjoying playing with play dough and working on strengthening their fine and gross motor skills. We’re looking forward to warmer weather & enjoying fresh air. So please remember to dress appropriately for going outdoors.

Primary I

Ms. Cynthia & Ms. Erika

Many of us in the classroom are doing the teen board and hundred board. In language many of us are building three letter words. We are going to be studying plant life for the next few weeks. This spring the children will be working on time-lines of their life. We are also going to the farm again in April. If anyone would like to join us please let us know. We will have a sign up sheet in the main hallway.

Primary II

Ms. Gaby & Ms. Vicky

During line-time we are working on name and word recognition. The children are just on the brink of writing their names (even the little 3 year olds). The past few weeks we have been working on dinosaurs and tracing them. This helps with their fine motors skills for writing. We just received new materials for the classroom and have had presentations for the children during line-time to get them ready to work on it. This spring we are going to be working on time-lines of their life.

Elementary

Ms. Launa & Ms. Phyllis

We are working on an art unit on famous artists. The children will be painting in the styles of Impressionists, Pointillism, Cubism etc. We will have an Art Exhibit this spring.

The Children are all working hard on various reports - such as Big Cat, Reptiles, Amphibians, and individual countries. Yes, 5 and 6 year olds can do research and prepare presentations.

Our children are mastering math facts, building strong vocabularies, and conducting science experiments. Ms. Cynthia has contracted a science teacher
