We had great hopes for 2008 but the year started off kind of bad for us. We lost my step-father in March of this year in which I choice to go back to Ohio for a month to be with my mom. This put us way behind in our racing for 2008 and we never really could get back on track so we decided to make this a year to build for next year.
We have all of our equipment in order...We have gone to a 4 cars, 2 for dirt and 2 for asphalt for our quarter midget program in 2009 so we will be set for a run at the club championships as well as regional and state championships fro 2009....
Update - June
June we raced as the Hayer Memorial at Capital Quarter Midgets. This is the same race that we raced our 1st race at. It is also the same track that we trained and went through novice training. Jayson set new track records in both the Jr Honda & Jr Stock class's and also won the Jr Honda Main but we were DQed in the Jr Honda because I forgot to get the engine sealed. Rookie mistake but wont happen again.
Update - July
We were set to run the Western Grands at our track here in Sacramento Ca but due to some issues that come up we were not able to. So the very next weekend which was the day of all the A Mains at the Grands we raced our first Outlaw Sprint Kart race at Cycleland Speedway in Chico Ca . With 4 Kart race under his belt it will be fun to watch Jayson when he gets back in his Quarter Midget which will be in two weeks....
