About the Owner
Wail (Wally) Muwaswes, a third generation auto upholsterer for over 40 years acquired Metzel Auto Upholstery in 1979 from Mr. Hal Metzel, who has been the owner and operator of the business since 1936. When Wally took over, the company expanded into a reputable auto upholstery shop in San Francisco, California. Wally dealt with major insurance companies as well as many substantial auto dealerships like MBZ, BMW, Honda and Royal Motors, in addition to all of the major body shops in San Francisco and along the Peninsula.
The Owner’s Philosophy
In the past 30 years of running Metzel Auto Upholstery, I have dealt with all kinds of upholstery jobs including and specializing in convertible tops. From patching a small tear on the tops to a complete restoration of valuable collector vehicles, our staff has covered it all. Throughout the years Metzel Auto Upholstery has received much rave reviews and most importantly, complete customer satisfaction. I have displayed on the walls of my office, letters of great appreciation from my customers. Therefore, I guarantee satisfaction when it comes to the work that my employees and I do.
